Training

Training for this Pastor-Directed Model to Address Conflict: to the Sr. Pastor only or in some combination of Sr. Pastor, Staff, Elders, Deacons, and ministry leaders.

This training would cover teaching:
· The 7 priorities that every Pastor/ministry leader should be living out day to day.
· The 4 steps to follow when facing conflict. These are built on Moses’ response pattern when he faced the conflict in the wilderness-Awareness, Assessment, Planning, Implementation.
· The underlying leadership and universal principles which came out of this experience and study.
· Explore various situations and contexts in ministry to see how the model would apply.
· Show how to use the Model Worksheet forms and maintain a conflict file to help evaluate one’s 7 priorities and how the 4 steps would be implemented. A sample conflict example will take us through the entire process.
Methods to use:
· The Moses Way Book and materials would be provided.
· PowerPoint outlines, handouts, exercises, videos, group and one-on-one discussions.
· Listening and sharing individual stories of conflict.
· Verbal and written scenarios and evaluations of conflict situations, real and/or experienced.
· Verbal and written evaluation of priorities and steps.
· Times of worship and prayer.
· Genuine love and respect for all participants and their situations.
· Honest and transparent dialogue and presence.
· Commitment to follow-up.
· Available for consultation with Sr. Pastor alone or including leadership to deal with any specific issues the church or ministry is facing.
· I would provide a written evaluation and recommendations of action points to the Pastor and leadership.
Expenses:
· Provide for travel, lodging and meals.
· Provide either a love offering and/or a set fee depending on services provided. (To be determined)
